Beausejour Stadium

Beausejour Stadium is a cricket ground located near Gros Islet, Saint Lucia. It was completed in 2002 and currently accommodates 13,000 spectators. It hosted the first day-night cricket match to be held in the West Indies between West Indies A and England A on 10 March 2006 and the first One Day International day-night cricket match in the West Indies between Zimbabwe and the West Indies on May 10, 2006. It is named after the nearby Beausejour hills.

Beausejour Stadium is a home venue for the Windward Islands cricket team.

 

Beausejour Stadium is a home venue for the West Indies. First One Day International: West Indies vs New Zealand on June 8, 2002. First Test match: West Indies vs Sri Lanka on 20–24 June 2003.

Beausejour Stadium was a venue of the 2007 Cricket World Cup, including the 1 vs 4 semifinal match between Australia and South Africa on the 25th April 2007. The grounds and stadium were in excellent condition for the entire tournament. Official attendance at the semi-final was 13,875.

The stadium also hosted league matches between New Zealand, England, Kenya and Canada.

It is one of the venues for the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, and is set to host 10 matches. 4 group stages matches, 4 super eight matches and both semi-finals.
